Strategy and Impact

In Australia, we spend $500 billion on social purpose programs and initiatives, yet often, we do not know if they are effective. (Centre for Social Impact, UNSW).

The for-purpose sector operates in a constantly changing, complex and dynamic environment.  Challenges include shrinking funding, digital disruption, changing demographics and increased customer expectations.

How We Help

For many years, the people at Sage Partners Australia have worked with for purpose and national peak bodies to better plan, design, implement, evaluate, and measure impact in areas such as health and chronic disease, aged care, disability, mental health, and family carers.

We work with you to solve complex problems, identify market opportunities and the capabilities and resources needed to be future ready.  We work with you and your teams so that your people are unified and inspired to execute smart initiatives and deliver value to your customers and stakeholders.

We can provide you with the frameworks and resources to work independently or with you on a short-term or periodic retainer basis.

  • Using the Theory of Change and tools such as Program Logic Mapping, to co-develop an evaluation framework that creates meaningful impact for your clients and community – and what matters most to them
  • Co-develop an appropriate strategy design tailored to your business, mission, client needs and contractual obligations and aligned to your impact evaluation framework
  • Using our strategic planning toolbox and resources, to enable your team to plan, execute and measure performance or full guided facilitation service
  • Data analysis for actionable insight and inform strategy
  • Independent testing of assumptions with your key stakeholders.

Sage Partners Australia Founder Dee was previously CEO at Carers Australia ACT. In that role she developed an evaluation strategy to measure the outcome measure effectiveness of the Theory of Change and Program Logic Map for family carers.

This enabled the organisation and its funders to understand what interventions were working best to correlate to better quality of life outcomes for carers.  The impact reports enabled the organisation to improve decision making, service design and client’s service experience.

Dee developed Program Logic Maps for large programs in her tender applications – to demonstrate how the program could be measured for impact aligned to program objectives.

At the time the government was transitioning from output to outcome frameworks.

During her tenure Dee led several successful tender applications worth several million dollars.
